Love to see Edmonton lose here. Would like to see one of the greatest players to play the game eventually win - but not with that shit organization that was gifted so much.

And Evan Bouchard... I never wanna hear anyone comment on how good he is. So lazy defensively. A worse skating and better shooting Tyson Barrie change my mind.

Oilers PK+PP=92.5 this year

Last year 123.6..which was not likely to ever happen again.
True but I think the bigger issue is that last season they went heavy collapse to the net. This year they played it looser which I think is a mistake because they don't have the players, culture, or structure to flip the switch and defend at a playoff level.

Like many of the goals they gave up in the last three games were 5v5.

Add in that their goalies basically need them to insulate them heavily and this was entirely predictable.

I also have issues with their coaching, last year Knoblauch basically pulled a trump by creating his own issues by putting nurse and Ceci together and then solving them by reversing course and splitting them up again. Vegas had to change their tactics to successfully break the Panthers pressure, this is two straight years where Edmonton failed to do so.

You can also see the bottom 6 has basically failed to show up in the last three games or so and has very low energy AND haven't played defence. That's a motivation issue from the coach.

Despite having Mcdrai you need the rest of your team to play their parts, especially when Florida is better in every other aspect.

The ding dongs on HalBro this morning we’re actually talking about the possibility of him winning another Conn Smythe even in a loss.

That’s an absolute absurd take.

Media kept insisting he was going to show up in this series and takeover a couple games, instead he got worse as it went on.

McDavid with one goal for the series, and two points in the last four games, including being completely shut out in two of them.

Barkov is the best defensive forward in the league, he didn't just win back to back Selke's for nothing. Sacrifice goal scoring just to shutdown the best player in the league? Heck, he should win Conn Smythe.
