Come on Dallas...don't fail us again.

If Dallas is good for anything, it is beating Edmonton.

Yes, yes, I am aware of last year. Shut up.

Man Vegas got straight up blown out when you consider their last win was off a Draisaitl/Skinner gaffe. Does every team that face the Oilers experience some kind of psychic debuff (LA, VGK, us and DAL last year, FLA almost choking)?

Rantanen might be their biggest obstacle to winning the cup.

Marner is going to Vegas.

Stone and Pietrangelo are probably getting moved cause that's what cut throat organization do.

Quote this for when it happens.
Good luck they both have Full NMC in a no tax state. William Karlsson is who I think gets traded if they want to open up cap space. And maybe Whitecloud.

Sometimes you need luck in addition to being good.

Dallas will in the next game but Rantanen and Heiskanen will get banged up.

Podkolzin with a slick play to set up the series winner....another strong game from him.

I know there are still a lot of diehards who still believe he'd have never made in Vancouver. But he's going to the conference finals--and the Canucks have been golfing for more than a month.

I think, unfortunately, we have to prepare ourselves for a very possible Oilers win this season. They look better than they did last year and they're getting Ekholm back. Knoblauch is an incredible coach.

Just the worst timeline if this happens. I'll never go back to the main boards again. Guess I'll have to find some solace in the fact that it's the first Canadian win in over 30 years...but they were probably the last time (aside from Toronto) I wanted to see break the curse.

This has pretty much been coming since the day they drafted McDavid though, he is simply too good to leave without a win. It's honestly amazing they haven't won to this point already.

Stupid f***ing decision to trade him there. Anywhere but there.

Nah Dallas is going to put them in their place. Kings broke. Vegas was slow. Dallas is improved from last year plus has the best player in the league right now and beat Colorado and about to beat Winnipeg.

Dallas in 4 just to make it fun.

Stars are way too deep for the Oilers imo, this was their lineup vs the Jets yesterday:

Granlund/Hintz/Rantanen
Robertson/Johnson/Marchment
Benn/Duchene/Seguin
Back/Steel/Dadonov

Harley/Heiskanen
Lindell/Ceci
Bischel/Lyubushkin

Oettinger

They're basically rolling out 10 top 6 forwards in total with several superstars on top, one of the best top pairings in the league, a 2nd pairing that can easily hide the bottom one in crunch time, and one of the best goaltenders in the league who doesn't choke. Once you go past McDrai + Hyman the Oilers would be very very outmatched elsewhere.

People saw how the Oilers slapped the Stars around last year but they didn't have Rantanen.

If the Oilers win the next series, I don't see how they don't win the Cup. Especially if the Panthers make it back to the Finals again.

I don't hate their players (aside from Kane) but I do hate their entitled shitbag fans. All this is going to do is make them even more insufferable than they already are.

Exactly. On paper Dallas dominates. What's scary is the Oilers always get up to some tomfoolery to get a series win.
