Sidney Crosby has drawn one penalty in the entire playoffs this year. Just think about that for a second. Dubinsky's slew footed him, speared him, boarded him, Rangers have interfered a ton, etc..

As for Ducks vs. Kings, whenever I root for the Ducks, they disappoint me. Seriously. :(

Just so I don't have to hunt for it at the end of the round...
2/8 in first round, picks for second round were as follows...
Let's see if I can do better this time:
East
BOS over MTL -- Better team eventually wins. Over in 7 though.
NYR over PIT -- I think that Lundqvist beats MAF on this one. Over in 6.

West
LAK over ANA -- Quick's on his game, Ducks still don't know what they're doing in net. Over in 5.
CHI over MIN -- Wild are running out of goalies that they can call up to play. Plus Cooke doesn't deserve to keep playing. Calling a sweep on this one.

So far I'm doing not too bad I think outside of NYR/PIT - but who expected MAF to post two shutouts?
Of course, every year I normally do this against an RNG... and lose basically every year to the RNG =p

Wow. Talk about embellishment. :sarcasm:

No offense but any team that tanks and drafts Crosby and Malkin are
going to be good. Those two weren't amazing picks by the Pittsburgh GM. They were the obvious choices.

NYR tends to pay to get their talent rather than develop them, and it hasn't worked, but they weren't the club that almost had to relocate.

Not really talking about Pittsburgh at all, just the Rangers.

About 5-6 years ago, the Rangers started looking inward and trying to develop their own picks. The team slowly starting crawling up the standings. All of a sudden, they overachieve and make the ECF, and fans and media get to thinking the team is a contender....and the Rangers quickly start throwing away their cultivated talent to get mercenaries.

As soon as they made that trade dumping a key home-grown glue guy in Dubinsky for the massive floater in Nash, the Rangers have gone downhill. To add to that mistake, they dump their heart & soul in Cally for over-the-hill-I-just-want-to-collect-a-huge-paycheck-on-my-retirement-contract-near-my-family St Louis.

I'm worried Ottawa might take the Ranger route. People get too impatient the kids aren't developing fast enough, or if we overachieve next year and people suddenly demand that "last piece" to be a contender (which we won't be)...we'll be in the same situation. Dumping our kids that make the team successful for a misguided shot at the Cup.

wow, did we ever dodge a bullet by not getting this guy. Those couple weeks a couple years ago when we were in the running to get Nash were some of the scariest times for me as a Sens fan. I wasn't keen on the packages being mentioned to get Nash.

I dislike the Habs crowd at Bell Centre because they play ref seemingly on every innocent play. No other crowd is like that.

Agreed. They get calls from doing it too which is even more annoying.

Ohh Therrien

"I thought they got away with a lot of things, as far as we're concerned," Therrien said. "But they try to influence referees. That's the way they are. That's not going to change. That's the way they like to do their things, but for us we're not paying attention to those things, honestly.

Therrien is an ass. Hate to see how many fan induced penalties will be called against the bruins tonight.

He better come back, I don't like Boston's chances without him

Still though, Chicago did it without Seabrook, Boston might need to do it without Chara for a bit

Brutal stuff

Boston makes two mistakes and end up getting scored on on both

At least the stage is set for another dramatic comeback from the good guys

Time to see what they are made of
