From the previous board: I think for us, as far as the trade deadline is concerned, all eyes should be on Giroux and Nelson. Also, considering our past interest in Kuzmenko coming out of the KHL, he very well could be a solid Plan B target if the other two come off the board (obviously would rather have one of the first two).

The difference being that he genuinely has a real team around him this year.
I mean they made the playoffs last year and I don’t think they’ve changed all that much about their roster. His early season struggles last year were uncharacteristic and I think a combo of factors including his father’s passing, injuries, etc. he still finished insanely well and this year is pretty much just picking up where he left off late last year

Chychrun is a huge add. PLD has the potential to be a huge add if the reclamation project is successful. Matt Roy and Mangiapane are excellent role players. They did great work this offseason.

And Ottawa is keeping things balanced by beating the hell out of the Blues.

Yeah that one's shocking

McMichael is developing into a good player as well.

It's all Logan Thompson, even when it's not. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Either way I maintain the position we idiotic in keeping Hill over LT.

Haven't seen this on the board yet. Perhaps I missed it.

Anyone else notice they aren't doing the rotating board ads this year? At first I thought perhaps a team or RSN/broadcaster decided not to but I haven't seen any anywhere.

Guess their high dollar researchers figured out that viewers did not like them. Duh.

Toronto keeps squandering young NHL assets post-Dubas. A lot of times, trading young guys too early in favor of older free agents results in death-by-a-thousand cuts. Not saying the likes of Liljegren are the moon-and-the-stars, but having some young energy on your blueline from time-to-time is a good thing to keep.

That really is sickening to see. 15 years of service including a decade as captain, two Cups, only guy to score 500 goals and 1000 points for the franchise (for that matter nobody else has 400 goals either). And he was a class act the whole way.

Hard to wrap my head around someone showing up at the arena with that jersey and sign in hand.

It also seemed pretty clear that he would have returned and the team made a decision. Could he have taken a massive discount and they probably would have kept them? Sure. But they made the decision that they didn't want him at market value or probably anything close and I don't really blame a player that's done so much for them wanting to be compensated fairly. And that's not to say that Tampa made a bad decision to move on and go with a younger guy in Guentzel, but they did make a decision.
