53 goals in his last 78 games at the age of 38/39 is 🤯

Interesting but flawed article. They seem to think that Pittsburgh needs to rebuild before Crosby retires... honestly, this is about preparing for a post Crosby era. There is no chance they are going to be able to build a decent team, around a 37 year old, by mostly drafting, and picking up a few young players in trades.

The right thing to do here, is trade anybody over 25, that someone else wants.... assuming they are willing to go.

It's looking like the division is going to be a bit of a dogfight down the stretch here.

Toronto 74 points
Florida 73 points
Tampa 70 points
Detroit 66 points

But... Tampa are winners of six in a row, and are 7-2-1 in their last 10... Detroit are 8-1-1 in their last 10. These two are definitely rounding into form at the right time here. We've won 6 of our last 7 now. We play Tampa and Detroit both once, with Detroit on the last day of the year.
It appears we won’t know who we play till the very end. Which is kinda a nice change. Although I’d be happy if Leaf’s lock up the division.

Pretty wild how they were just a couple pts back like a month ago and all of a sudden we're up 12 pts on them now with the same number of games played.
It's not wild at all. It's exactly what some of us said would happen. It's the same with all bubble teams, including Tampa (who will themselves have a 4 or 5 game losing streak before the season is over). It's why they are all bubble teams.

I am going to say TB is not a buuble team. If they are, thee Leafs would also be considered a bubble team.

TB is 4 points back even though the Leafs have won 6 out of 7.

Outside the Caps, it's a pretty toght race

Watch the video in the link🤣:

Surprised the old man wasn't wearing a jersey with Ballard on the back.
