Idk why Granato lets his players dangle in all areas of the ice. Turnover after turnover. Cozens has been doing it all night. Byram just tried to dangle two Oilers going around his own net and cutting up the middle. He lost it and Edmonton scored.

Granato was the right coach for a team that needed some fresh air and freedom… but he might be the worst coach for a team trying to take the next step. The system sucks, all the players play wild man junior dangle around everyone hockey, there is little to not support or layers to coverage. It’s a F disaster.

It might be good for Byram to get some confidence like it was good for other Buffalo players when Granato was hired… but it does him no good if this continues next year. They absolutely need to find a good structure coach who can still let the players breathe.

My best friend is still one of their biggest superfans. I loved everything up through Rattle and Hum. I loved it too, but you could tell they were starting to experiment with new sounds. Achtung Baby just moved them too far into dance/pop and then they fully embraced it with Zooropa and Pop.

Joshua Tree is probably my favorite album of theirs but even that one was extremely polished. Nothing wrong with that, but for me it is diminished for lacking the rawness and energy of the stuff up through The Unforgettable Fire. You can really hear punk influences in the early stuff and that's what attracted me to them.
 
Figures that the Jets beat the Rangers and then lose to New Jersey.

At this point, IDGAF about winning the division. I want no part of either the Knights or Predators in the first round. The Preds look unbeatable right now and will be thirsty for revenge, and the Knights will magically be "fully healthy" and a hundred million over the salary cap. I would much, much rather take 2nd in the Central at this point and let whoever is first get f***ed up in the first round, and then take our chances in the second round against the winner when everything is warmed up.

If I had to guess, I think Dallas wins the division. Their schedule is ridiculously easy down the stretch, lots of easy layup kind of games against bottom feeders who have given up. In that case, you shoot for home ice against Winnipeg and then buckle down for a tough run to the finals. I don't think winning the division/conference would do us any favors.
 
Buffalo’s got so much young talent that they’ll probably end up fine, but I still find it kind of crazy that they traded Mittelstadt. So hard to get Centre’s with that kind of game.

That was his game in hand too.

Assuming he doesn't get more points tonight Kuch will have a 4 point lead with both players having 13 games left.

Pretty safe to assume that Kucherov will win now.

Edit: and he added another while I was typing this. 5 point lead, it's over.

I hear you, but I don’t like this mentality.

Colorado is the hunter. Those wild card team should be hoping they don’t match up with the Avs, not the other way around.
 
4 points for Kucherov. I mean this are free points vs the Sharks. It’s not even over yet, he might get couple of more
