Hynes is great if you want to build an offense around one-and-done odd-man breaks. The man is a master at getting players to create odd-man rushes. Unfortunately he doesn't seem capable of much else.
So I'm all for this hiring. Whether it coincides with a bump in goaltending is anyone's guess, but for now John Hynes is slowly becoming the Norv Turner of the NHL.
