Hynes is great if you want to build an offense around one-and-done odd-man breaks. The man is a master at getting players to create odd-man rushes. Unfortunately he doesn't seem capable of much else.

So I'm all for this hiring. Whether it coincides with a bump in goaltending is anyone's guess, but for now John Hynes is slowly becoming the Norv Turner of the NHL.

Hynes is still under contract by Nashville as well. I mean if you are willing to dish out the money, why not get Woodcroft or Gallant?

Not that I mind them getting Hynes.

Evason was a solid coach who covered a ton of holes on that team, they should've never made the playoffs in the past couple of years yet did under him. Guerin is really overrating his team's talent at this point.

Any idea why the Kraken didn't sign Sprong? He signed a $1 million one year contact with Det. Head scratcher to me.
Probably unsustainable analytic numbers and why Francis moved on. Looks like a horrible move in hindsight, but that's what happens when you go numbers-happy with the trigger. There are some ludicrous pro-analytics on this site and the majority of them had Kerfoot being a contender for the Selke when we traded him to Turano just because of his defensive nums.

Someone on the main board said it’s an old boys club hire. Hynes and Guerin have a history.

Tried him at center, moved him to the wing, moved him back to center, scratched him, and now he's back at wing.

Here's what I think is hilarious. In that comeback victory by the Canes against the Jackets, Johnny Hockey played quite possibly his best game in a Lumbus uniform, whereas Erik NotGudbranson got absolutely turnstiled every effing time he took the ice. Yet I'm fairly certain it'll be Gaudreau who gets the rough treatment before Gudbranson. That's always the problem with coaches like Vincent--they don't care if a player is actually good or not, they just want them to "play the right way."
I mean I get it. I relate it to parenting. If I had a kid legit trying his best and consistently getting 70s I’m much happier with him then the kid capable of 90s pulling in 60s. Or ABC’s or narwhals or whatever unit of measurement you’re using in the states these days .

What's wrong with that Hockey Guy U tube channel. He loves his Canucks and Dallas but he also loves Coyotes, Blues Trasher's and Predators over Avs. He called Avs a cheat code when we got Roy for nothing. But so what? We won the trade.

Not everyone has to like the Avs? He's from Vancouver, many Canucks fans don't like the Avs.
