I don't believe that you accrue cap space when you are using LTIR.
- When a player is on LTIR, a team may exceed the salary cap. Despite the common misconception, LTIR does not remove a Cap Hit from a team’s overall Cap Hit, it just potentially allows the team to exceed the salary cap.
- While on LTIR, Cap Space is no longer accrued, meaning any portion of the LTIR pool not used cannot be used later.

I should have said don't put him on ltir sorry. Make a small move if you have to, leave him off of it so you can accrue and at least have the option open. Or if something does come up you can put them on ltir later I believeI don't believe that you accrue cap space when you are using LTIR.

A Hockey team made a misstep attempting to honour police officers. That is worth discussing on a hockey forum. I’m not attempting to change the narrative on the symbol, that’s already happened, and is unfortunate. But it is what it is. Pretending symbols haven’t been hijacked, doesn’t change reality. Stick your head in the sand if you prefer, and you are correct in stating political arguments have no place here, but hockey is attempting to be inclusive, and they screwed up here.

The Minnesota Wild were promoting a Law Enforcement Appreciation Night with a "Thin Blue Line" themed t-shirt and NHL fans were not happy.

He was in a bad situation with a bad team in Buffalo, but he couldn’t transcend it. And tossing salt once he was out the door, he’s pissy.
In another irony, he just missed most of the highest scoring season since a few years before he was born. It’s a little bit funny, don’t say it isn’t.
But, and not that I think Vegas is any good, he’s got time on his side.

I've been to Tempe Arizona...One of my favourite cities in the US. A young hockey player in Tempe would be an incredible experience. It's beautiful. Golf, skiing/snowboarding (yup), College football/basketball, beautiful gals, incredible college music and bar scene, beautiful scenery/nature, Grand Canyon, and a not so bad drive to California and/or Vegas. It's a very cool place.

Yeah Toronto is a hotbox, and in AZ he can walk around and live his life, but then about 90% of the perks of fame vanish.
So no, there will be no skipping the line no matter the place or the time, there will be no wearing $25,000 watches out of the store because ‘Just get me later I know you’re good for it.’, there will be no getting next year’s thing earlier than everyone else, there will be no lifetime vanity position paying 350Gs with the team where all he has to do is shake a few hands and play a few rounds of golf, and crucially, there will be no lineup of attractive 18-24 year old girls that stretches around the block wanting to ‘meet’ Big Papi.
If Arizona wins, then what? Nobody cares as soon as football starts.
