67 PPP this season for McDavid.

Lemieux has the record of 80 PPP in one season.

Oilers PP is 2 for 2 tonight and came into the game at 31.9% efficiency.

I think Boston will have just two players hit their performance bonuses... there are others with them... but I don't think they hit.

Bergeron's bonus details -> P. BONUS DETAILS: 10 GP bonus: $2.5M Achieved
Krejci's bonus details -> P. BONUS DETAILS: Games played bonus: $1M at 10GP, $500k at 20GP | $500k bonus earned for playoffs qualification Fully Achieved

So that's $4.5 million in bonus that has to be carried over to next year. Which gives them a $78,212,500 cap hit next year, with 14 roster players signed.

So $5,287,500 left to get spread around 6/7/8 guys...

I mean sure... this is the year they are going for it... and kudos to them... but next year... ouch.
It would be so funny if they got beat in the 1st rd.

Interested to see how the playoffs impacts the Oilers PP chances, and how that impacts their game

Tied for second in opportunities.

Effectively, they picked up Ekholm and Kane at TDL.

Be somewhat like if the Leafs picked up O'Reilly and Ekholm at the deadline.

Forget all the other scraps picked up.

Ekholm is a 1st. pairing defender in probably the same realm as Rielly. Likely better defensively.

They didn't pick up Kane at the deadline though. He was injured lol every single team in the league deals with injuries to key players.

I realize that, but he's been injured for much of the season, so they've been playing without that asset. Even when he's been playing he hasn't been up to speed, going through what Mikheyev did with the Leafs. Along with the broken rib(s).

So yes, all teams have injuries and when those injured players come back it is a boost.

Oilers improved by Ekholm and Kane being added to their line-up.

Again, Leafs added O'Rielly but he's invisible ... :sarcasm:
