Despite all the major injuries, Avs are 3 points back of the division lead with 2 games in hand. Jets and Stars have been pretty bad lately.

Also, does anyone know why the Sabres are so good on the road?

Home: 11-15-2
Road: 19-8-2

McDavid is hitting everything is sight today.
Wish we’d see that from our top guys once in a while.

Dude, we are talking about Buffalo, lol.

We have stop comparing our top guys to McD. He is really two levels above everyone in the league and that might be an understatement. McD is the only non goalies who can steal a series for a team in the playoffs.

Maybe with a PP he'll get a shot?

No one is comparing anyone to McDavid. The point is if a player ‘two levels above everyone in the league’ sees the importance of finishing checks, it would be nice if the Leafs top guys could bring that on occasion too.

That I agree with and that’s why he is two levels above everyone else. Forgot where I heard it from
but once heard that having a 4th liner mentality along with superstar skills will make an unstoppable player. Just wish all of our boys see that. That’s also why I want Holmberg, McMann and others to train with Leafs due to Acciari bc he is the type of players that this team needs on and off the ice.

They do.
Tavares and Matthews are both higher than McDavid in hits this season, FYI. McDavid's 162nd in the league in hits among forwards, so sounds like he sees the importance of other things too.
McDavid is currently on pace for the highest hit total in a game in his career, so the period of hockey you watched may not be the most accurate representation of McDavid.
Also, not sure how much 3 hits makes up for currently losing to Columbus...

I think he realizes that playing a 1pm start against the worst team in the league has the potential for the team to be flat. He hopes his early energy is going to drag his team into the game.

:biglaugh: Sens fans talked so much shit this offseason and pimped this acquisition while shoving the 'SuMmEr Of PiErRe' down everyone's throats. The funniest part in all of this is that they traded Filip Gustavsson for him who is only 24 years old and has a .928 sv% in 27 games this season. Pure comedy.

In a way, they did do well in terms of improving the team, just not as good as they think, 😂
