Dallas 7-5-2 and only 5 games against playoff teams

No real excuses for them to make it out of that conference really. Sure, going through (likely) Calgary and one of Minnesota/STL on top of Nashville/Dallas is not the easiest thing in the world, but it is not like you are having to go up against the defending champs and then likely Florida (the top team in the regular season) only to likely have to face off against Carolina/NYR/BOS/PIT.

I get it, but we can't really complain when we played the 18th in the league Habs last season and 14th in the league Jackets the season before (although a play in).

We have a tough road for sure, but we pissed away "easy" opportunities the last two years to get the playoff win monkey off our back.

They really need to go 1-8, heck even the nba model with the double elimination play in for 7-10. There have been the same number of playoff teams since the league had 21 clubs.
