I remember 3 or 4 years ago, Philly's rebuild was being considered better than Toronto's. Winnipeg's as well, and Buffalo.
Guess not.
He reminds me alot of early career Carey Price. Great junior career on otherwise not great junior teams, spent very minimal time in the AHL, rushed to the NHL, early NHL career success, up and down afterwards for a few years due to mental issues.. Not saying he'll turn out to be Price but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he becomes an elite level goaltender for a decade as he reaches his mid 20's. Like VanW stated he has good tools, although I disagree with him being undersized at 6'2.
I really wanted the Leafs to draft him back at 2016 and was practically praying for the Leafs to take him at #31 back then. Still feel that way today, big fan.

Yeah the Korshkov selection was a head scratcher then and it's even worse now. Hart was terrible last season but he's so young, talented and plays in front of one of the worst defensive orgs in the league.

Carolina is currently trailing the Jets and have been struggling over their previous 10 games. I’m really surprised they’re ranked above us in the nhl.com power rankings despite their skid and having a worse record. I have no idea how those are calculated. Of course now that I typed that, the Leafs will get crushed by the Lightning and the Canes will come back. But that still doesn’t change my opinion.
A classic case of having a good WJC and get drafted higher than you should be. I think he led the Russian team in scoring

He was the one player that made the Habs my second favorite team back then. I sure hope that Sittler is doing well, after losing Bossy and Lafleur at such a young age, I don't want to be losing our legend Sittler (I don't think that Sittler smoked).

We seem to be the only team anyone talks about in their Out of Town threads, at least on a regular basis. May as well rename the Edmonton and NYI threads to "Leafs Discussion - Bring the salt".
Not sure if this is true, but I read it on Insta as someone posted how non Leafs fans were crapping on the TSN tweets about Cabrera breaking records this week. IT went something like, stop reporting on Leafs players all the time and others jumped in and said WTH are you talking about....even when everyone told this person Cabrera is a baseball player going to break a very special this weekend...he/she kept saying I can say whatever I want....
The Leafs hate is crazy.
