I don't like this format at all. It's hard to understand why conference finals should be based on divisions. Why? It should be four best teams not four best teams. This isn't NFL. We play 82 games regular season and some teams get reamed by this format.

Complaining about playoff format should be an offseason thing. Right now, it sounds like we are making excuses.

Toronto is the best, most complete team in the NHL as long as Campbell is playing decent. Arguably on the same level as Colorado. Teams and their fans should worry about them, not the other way around.

I wouldn’t call it an excuse. There's a large data set indicating the advantage of home ice and zero logical reason for inferiority to be rewarded.

As good as Leafs have been since acquiring Gio, Florida are 10-0-0 in their last 10 and have won 11 in a row, all without their #1 stud dman. A Florida-Toronto ECF would be sweet.

Tampa lost to Detroit last night. If they can't turn on the switch once the playoffs start, they might be very beatable.

I live in Vancouver since 2014 and I must admit only Nucks fans, actually only other Canadian teams think there is a rivalry between their teams and the Leafs while most Leafs fans don’t give a damn at all esp since both Sens and Habs are bottom feeders.

Yep. I’ve lived in Calgary and while there is a good natured “rivalry” as far as there is with most Canadian teams, it’s really weird how amped up it is with Canucks fans and them thinking there’s actually more to it than just two Canadian teams.

Back when TSN radio was still on air, a few of them on radio did have a dislike of the Leafs but they don’t openly mock them. It is strange how most Canadians hate the Leafs while the rest love them.
