Seems like the “Leafs First Round Curse” extends to the team that beats us too. They usually go on a run but end up losing to the eventual Cup champs. The only year this didn’t happen was Boston 2018.

If you get dumped by the Leafs though, your chances are terrific: Murphy, Kessel, Bozak, Kadri, Gunnarsson..

Congrats to Colorado. Well deserved for them. Sakic trusting his core and not changing it paid off for him. Hopefully it works for Dubas too. I know Avs won playoff series before blah blah blah, but thats besides the point. Hearty congrats to my main man Kadri. The guy is a cup champion. After hearing the sillyness about him during the Carlyle years that you can't win with him, this is awesome to see.

It's sad that the way the Avs played, Leafs were playing a really good 3rd period and the same way like Avs did before the Ref show began.
The way these playoffs played out shows Leafs are extremely close but they have been close for a while, they just need to find a way somehow

I think he meant he didn't change it after a first round, then 3 straight second round exits .. stuck with them.

He moved ROR and Duchene when they were just a non-playoff team, at the bottom of the division.
