Loving what TBS is doing with their broadcast: Guys being guys talking hockey.

Not everything you see is some sort of politically-correct panel discussion or puff-piece contrived by the CBC to re-educate you about society.

Nine fckg powerplays for Boston. Of those 9 PP"s, 2 of them were 5 on 3's with 1:30 or more.

Jacobs has everyone in the league in his pocket. Trash owner, trash franchise..
Just saying

Game 1
PPs

Boston 3
Carolina 3

Game 2
PPs

Carolina 9
Boston 4
5on3: Carolina has 3 opportunities

Game 3
PPs
Boston 5
Carolina 5

Game 4
PPs
Boston 9
Carolina 4
5on3: Boston has 2 opportunities

It’s been exactly even all series

There have been 2 games called very evenly and 2 games where one team got all the calls

Not trying to cause problems

I’m rooting for the leafs so sick of Tampa

Does anyone else long for the 'let them play' playoff penalty standard? I hate this rolling PP thing we have going on right now (in all series).

Goes to show you can draft really well or really poorly, if you can get lucky and draft a franchise goalie you are set for 15 years

Quick
Price
Rask(leafs pick)
Lunqvist

They gave their teams 15 years of service
losing Rask hurt a lot, especially since we got raycroft who was 8-19-2 with a .879 save % the year before.

Raycroft is the perfect example how numbers can lie. Hes tied with Belfour for 2nd most wins as a leaf. Yet he sucked so bad and that team didnt even make the playoffs

Is that true? Because I have nothing but bad memories of Raycroft as our goalie. Maybe not the worst ever but I never associate anything positive with him as a Leaf. Jesus that John Ferguson Jr. was just the worst GM - worse than Stellick. At least Stellick had the excuse of tenure under the crazy old guy who handcuffed him. JF jr was just pure stupidity. Followed by arrogant stupidity and then more stupidity. People complain about Dubas - but the man by comparison to that sorry lot - is brilliant

on a more relevant note
small compensation but at least the Oilers went down tonight. Maybe we can here the panel shit all over the Oilers now

JFJ was not worse GM. Leafs have a long histories of GMs that were bad

He was the wrong gm at the wrong time on the wrong team

I hate that trade so much that I can't get over it. Rask was a gem in Finland, when you saw him play you knew he could make it. He had the character. Then we trade him away. I was furious at the time and it still annoys me, even though Rask is retired. Huge lost opportunity.

He was also bit of a puppet, so it's really hard to judge him because you don't know how much ownership intervene him. I think he wanted a rebuild and was denied.

JFJ was pretty infamously handcuffed under the people above him too
He was very much a puppet more than a GM

But he's not terrible and has continued to work in the League since
