Boston was never going to go away quietly but I still think the Canes take them out in 6 games.
If Florida falls to the Caps.... The leafs should absolutely destroy Washington. I know playoffs are weird but still, we had no problem with them in the regular season even with them trying to goon, they were shut down. Their stars are slower while our stars are in their prime.. Wilson is the only player I worry about if Simmonds and Clifford don't dress.
Typical reffing for Boston. Game management only matters in Boston's favor.
Some of the canes calls were right but that cross checking call earlier was bush league in the PO considering Boston plays the same way in their end. And pushing the goalies pad out of position and then the same player bangs into he loose puck and it's still a good goal? Come on.

Also, that coaches challenge leading to this gong show was awful. Brindamour leading his team to the dumpster

Looks like Boston will tie this series. Thought they were gonna get swept or 5 games max. This has seven games written all over it.
Two Canes players were dumped in the Bruins zone away from the puck, and neither get called.

We’ll see how tonight goes for us but a game like today for Carolina is exactly why I didn’t want to face Boston in the playoffs. You knew the refs would be biased for Boston at home.

Canes were authours of their own misfortune. They got what they deserved today.

Agreed. Also our last game was reminder of the dirty plays they get away with. I don't remember details but they got away with blatant boarding.

Canes are also a team that tries to get away with a lot of obstruction. That's why they're known as great forecheckers.
I think the game was called right.
That's why I want no part of Boston in the playoffs. Refs have to make it a farce all the time.

It unraveled because of a poor coaches challenge that earned a penalty for Carolina, then a completely obvious double minor for high sticking.
Blaming the refs isn't always the answer. Carolina shot themselves in the foot today

Yeah I watched the game. That coach's challenge sure looked like Raantaa's pad was kicked back into the net before the puck went in.

These last few years the Canes have done worse in the playoffs against Boston than we have. At least we manage to take it to 7 games, they either get swept or lose in 5.
Despite that, the perception around the league is that Carolina is somehow this great up and coming team that will get over the hump soon but Toronto is doomed
