GDT: Around the League - 2021/22 - Playoffs edition

This years playoffs is all blowouts. You either win big or you lose big. Safe to say no goalies are winning the smythe this year

This is where we get in trouble

Nothing about nhl playoffs is easy
Last year was the easiest path possible and look what happened

I said it before also, not surprised florida may get knocked out first round. A team that is always having to come back in games to win so many times to me just says they weren’t playing well and it usually catches up.

And there goes all those 1st round picks for the next few years for the panthers lol

The West's first round is extremely dull. Only decent series is STL/MIN.

Nashville, Dallas, & LA aren't even in the playoffs in the East and Edmonton doesn't have home ice. It's a pretty terrible conference.

I'd be shocked if one of Colorado or Minny isn't in the SCF. That's the only team standing in Colorado's way to the SCF.

Absolutely. Washington shouldn't even be close, Carolina/NYR/PITT are all very beatable

NYR/PIT winner is going to get absolutely clobbered by Carolina or Boston if they somehow win. Shesterkin might need 50+ saves every game to have any chance.
 
People were talking about the Panthers being cup champs despite having very little experience in the playoffs and I didn't understand why. That lack of experience is clearly showing up.

We will see if those tough losses have taught the leafs anything still but I firmly believe Florida is going to struggle for a couple of seasons in the past season at least before they click and go on a run and win.

Maybe I'm wrong but scores havnt been kind to them and they match up against us a lot worst than Washington. I would be cautiously optimistic about the Leafs in a series with them.
