Stats are great...but what has that changed anything for them? Bringing in a guy like that has done what for them exactly? End of the day it's still the Losses I am looking at while coming off desperate to sign a talented player with a very questionable past. It was to help their dire situation, coaching or not.

You can try to pull the topic of discussion into another angle maybe with others but not with me. I repeat the question, has that changed the outcome of the oilers as a whole? What is a signing usually for? To help a team right, let me repeat this...HELP A TEAM. Not for individual stats.

As for you bringing up one of my favorite players who has been stinking it up quite a bit on and off, in Barzal ain't really helping your case with stats talk for the record.

They did lose their starter and MVP from that run, their #1D and arguably their #1C this offseason.

They were a fringe playoff team at best without Price last regular season and with Danault.

They were 18th last year and 24th the year before. They took advantage of a situation and had a miraculous 20 games, but they were always a bad team and got significantly worse without Weber/Price/Danault.

I don't really like that move for the Flames. That's 4.25 million that isn't going to be going to Gaudreau, Tkachuk or Mangiapane, all of whom are better.

I think they should've put those assets towards a 2C. Upgrading their 5th best winger isn't what the doctor ordered.
