Kucherov returning from injury to TB now with only 4 games on the season and Lightning just got a super boost of talent.

and

Rask on his way back to Boston

Is Tuukka Rask the Boston Bruins' savior?

Boston is 17-10-2 (36 points), hanging on to the final wild-card playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Can the return of Rask not only ensure the Bruins are a playoff team, but make them a Stanley Cup contender?

The Bruins have signed Rask to a professional tryout contract, and will have him play a few games for the Providence Bruins of the AHL. If all goes well, he'll rejoin Boston on a new contract that won't upset their salary structure. Rask famously joked that he would play in Boston for $250,000 and "tons of Bud Light," although we're still not sure of the cap implications for the latter compensation.

"He certainly looks the part out there right now," Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said after a Rask practice this week.

Is Tuukka Rask the Bruins' savior?

The Atlantic is going to be a real battle down to the end for playoff seating.

This guy can literally not help himself

well let’s wait for the facts to come out & Kane has filed a grievance. Faking a vaccination card wasn’t enough to terminate his contract previously, so what could he have done that’s possibly worse than that to allow for the termination of the contract? Just feels like San Jose is trying everything to get rid of the contract

Supposedly he travelled to Vancouver while Covid positive. No idea if that will hold up as a reason to breach his contract. I assume it will play out in court/arbitration.

it will not. A quick google search shows Canadian Citizens can travel to Canada with symptoms. Just not by air. And upon arrival into Canada you go into an immediate quarantine.

so my guess is he wanted to Quarantine in Vancouver as opposed to San Jose. Which is not illegal. & if he was by himself, I see no problems with this. It’s kind of bullshit that San Jose and the media would do this to him. Did Toronto not fly guys home in order to quarantine in the comforts of their home as opposed to on the road? How is this anything different.

Quarantine or isolation – Travel restrictions in Canada – Travel.gc.ca

Which is why I don’t it’ll be held up and SJ won’t win. Just another smear campaign by them

He's supposed to stay in San Jose where his team is based. Marlies players can't just leave Toronto because they have a slight break. This is a long held pattern of him being insanely irresponsible that goes back years. He doesn't deserve a break, and I don't know why people are lining up to give him one. He's lucky he didn't get charged with a federal felony over the fake vaccine card.

It’s not illegal to go home as proved by my link. and we don’t know the language of health and safety protocols. It most likely doesn’t make any mention to where you have to quarantine, which is why Toronto was able to bring our guys home to quarantine in a place where they are more comfortable. I bet you the language states you just have to quarantine. And no it doesn’t it’s San Jose grasping at bullshit to get out from under a contract they don’t want to pay for. If he wanted to quaratine in Vancouver who cares. As long as he was actually quarantining, he didn’t break any laws and he didn’t breach his contract. So the Sharks have literally no leg to stand on with this.

no one is giving him a break but I’m actually doing my research before assuming shit. Which is something you should try. And why the hell would I ever support greedy rich owners who always look for loopholes to stay rich. I’m player first always. f*** the rich owners

You likely have to be within close proximity of the team for testing purposes. He's also likely gotten many written warnings about what is acceptable conduct after he faked a vaccine card.

You are talking about one thing with clear approval from the team, to another where the player just left without telling the team. Completely different scenarios.

Doubt it. we’ll wait to see the language of the health and safety protocols. But I doubt San Jose is getting out from under this contract

You also can't just leave your team's primary city because you want to mid-season because you want to. You are comparing something that had approval from one organization to another where they were blindsided.

I also don't see how its "another smear campaign." Did he not use a fake vaccine card?

like I said the termination will likely stand because I think both sides want a fresh start and even Bill Daley is saying they believe San Jose has acceptable proof. But I don’t know if they’ll get away with not paying anything. Also Kane hasn’t been active with The AHL team since the 26th so it’s likely he went home during the break to quarantine. So we have to see the full details. If he did go home around that time then There should be no issues with him going home for the holidays to quarantine.

There absolutely should be issues if he didn't inform the team of his plans. It appears he didn't and that's why it's a breach of contract. An injured NHL player can't just go on vacation because he wants to.

again that’s the Sharks telling one side. We don’t know the truth yet. So stop assuming. We’ll see what happens through the Grievance process. NHLPA just tweeted they intend to file one on behalf of Evander Kane.

Why would you give anyone with Kane's history the benefit of the doubt? You think he informed the Sharks of his plans, said "find, do it" then tried to file a breach of contract complaint. His track record for doing stupid stuff is ridiculously long.

because I don’t judge people. Maybe my career of being a teacher makes me more compassionate than others who knows. But I don’t believe in cancelling people or going off one side. I like to hear both sides. He’s made mistakes in the past and he’s done a lot of dumb shit but so have a lot of us in life. We don’t know why it was important to him to be in Vancouver. Maybe he just felt more comfortable at that house

Also I don’t support owners who use and abuse players and then just toss them to the side when they need help. Sports owners are some of the most greediest humans on earth and aren’t saints either.
