Yup. It’s gonna be tough to get outta the first round. We blew two big opportunities last couple of playoffs. This year it’s gonna be very tough to even make it outta the first round. Hopefully this team is ready to take several steps forward and surprise us.

Same goes to Verhaeghe, think it was the same off-season, we passed on him because he wanted 1 million over 750000. Funny how Dubas plays such good salary cap hard ball in the small negotiations but was dreadful in the big ones. None the less... he had Verhaeghe, Rodriguez, Kase and Bunting as low price additions the past two seasons. Pretty darn good eye for talent...too bad Marner and Co thought his talents were comparable to Tavares and Matthews

Guess Dubas should just stick to his guns... think signing Thornton and Ritchie was pressure from above and not his first choices.
