Not sure there's a rush with Gaborik anyway. At least if the Sens are going to be changing the team. If they deal Karlsson, it's probably rebuilding time, so having Gaborik, whether he plays or not, doesn't hurt. He's still making some real money, but his cap hit helps Ottawa, and his actual salary isn't crazy from a team standpoint. Every year they keep him is one less year of dead money after 2021.

Finally looked at the Preds goal/nongoal they're crying about. Clearly goalie interference. Not sure what they're all crying about. Pretty sure you can't push and spin the goalie around with your stick.

it's crazy right? you can literally see arvidsson's twig bending as he spins luongo around which miraculously makes the puck appear

but somehow that's an injustice to be called interference?

Correct. Although, he could also pull a Hossa or Savard or Pronger or Lupul and "retire" but still remain on the books, though his contract will be on LTIR until it expires.

I don't think it will be BS if Gabby goes on LTIR. The guy is injured for months for several seasons now. His body clearly is not physically fit to play in the NHL anymore.

Saw it live and said so when the goal went in. Didn't see how it wouldn't be, it was the right call.

I want to know how the ref didn’t blow their whistle. The puck was under Lu’s pads for awhile. Lose sight of the puck, blow your whistle.
Probably with replay refs let it go a little bit longer. You can take away a goal for a late whistle but you can't award a goal for an early whistle.

Devils clinch first playoff birth in 6 years and Taylor Hall will finally get to play in the post season after over 500 regular season games without a trip to the SC playoffs.

Kinkaid has been solid for them between the pipes.

If a ref loses site of the puck, it's not an automatic whistle like people think, if the players are playing like it's loose, he will give it a second to see if its indeed lose or not, it really depends on the refs positioning, he can't see through a goaltender or a dman etc, so he will be a bit cautious rather than kill a play the split second he loses the puck

ESPN3 is offering the Frozen Four tonight with the option of having no broadcasters. I can't even tell you how much more I enjoy this, the sounds are so much more amplified when you don't have idiot broadcasters talking.

Some fan sent a dead catfish to the nhl offices to show their rage.

That's why as a forward, you always play like it's loose. You never know what might happen.

6 years? jeez, we must have really f***ed them up in 2012.

Telling ya. Nashville = whiniest, diviest team in the league and they think everyone owes them favors.

Theyre the favorite for sure but I can see them coming unglued like the Canucks.

They're so close they can taste it. With the run last year, and the controversial goal thing against Pittsburgh, I'm sure it's a trigger. As usual, they're the cool new kid now, until they actually start winning more.
