The Sharks would need to get 2 points in their last 3 games while the Kings would have to win both. It's a longshot, but a loss by SJ tonight would make it at least interesting as they would be 2 points up with even games. The Kings would own the tiebreaker if they did end up equal.

Yeah, expectations vs. reality have beaten many a man in history. He could hit 35 next year, and then never get more than 24 for the rest of his career. Maybe he gets 23 next year, then gets 30, 33, and 31 the following 3 seasons. May never get more than 26 again. You just never know.

Ok the brief idea of challenging for 2nd in the Pacific appears to be ending tonight (as expected).

At this point I hope the Ducks and Kings both just win out. Having some momentum going into the playoffs and getting a somewhat inexperienced Vegas team is a nice result. I expect a SJ/Ana series to be long grueling one.
 
Hopefully that last game against Dallas won't mean much. Never want to play a team that's pissed about their season if they can be a spoiler. Especially one that does have some talent.

The Sharks haven't been playing well for a while. They are streaky like the Kings.

WC1 right now. If the Kings get Pac2, it might not be against the Sharks, though. I think a series with home ice against Anaheim would be easier than Vegas.
 
Thank god Arizona keeps winning. They look really good, and adding a top 3 pick would have made them even stronger. I think they will leapfrog Vancouver.

That's crazy! SJ was outshooting DAL 28-8 with 2-min left to go in the 2nd. That means SJ only managed another 3 shots on goal in the final 22 minutes of the game...wth.
