Cathartically, I know that fans love to see players say stuff like this, but is it that easy to conclude that it actually is what is most needed by the team?

If the players were under the illusion that there weren't problems that needed fixing, something like this would be great to grab their attention. If all of the players are already feeling the heat and trying to come up with solutions in the room, then Zadorov sounding off to the media over and over again could just be piling on that only exacerbates the pressure they are all feeling. You really never know.

We have zero idea what Backlund is doing within the room to try to right the ship. That the loudest voice in the media is the best leader in the room is a very simplistic take.

Yeah I don't think Zad should have the C or A or anything. I think it's just refreshing for fans to hear a player be blunt like this, as you said.

While you raise good points as fans it is cathartic to know we aren't the only ones seeing this. From management down we have heard that the solution is in the room and we have the guys to get the job done. If you're going to set that tone then these are kind of comments are needed to follow up this kind of start to a season. It can't all be sunshine and rainbows as Flames fans we have seen numerous seasons ruined due to a bad start like this atleast Zad is speaking directly to us not only agreeing with what we are seeing but this also backs up management's opinion that this group is good enough to get it done they just aren't.

If what Zad or Lindholm said pissed guys off 1. Good they should be pissed off 2. They probably aren't the right guys if this upsets them.

This. Zero doubt that Backs isnt doing a lot in the background. Coleman mentioned in the preseason how Backs called him out about his stupid penalties that one game. Backs will go to the media if he feels he needs to.

Fresh start. New continuity with Huska. They started cold. If they can't work through it, they're dead. It's not fruitful, however, to say they are incapable of working through it.
