Not Jonathon Huberdeau, who amassed 115 pts last season and is on pace for 55 this year? That’s a 60 point drop year over year. The guy was signed to put the puck in the net. Same with Kadri. And it’s just not happening.

Can you just admit to being an Oilers fan at this point? Like if you’re truly cheering for draft position, being sad about the Capitals and Sabre’s losses makes sense. Being sad about the Preds and Jets losses though is literally actively cheering for us not to make the playoffs though, which is very different and in and of itself sad.

Nope cheering for Jets and Preds loss helps with draft position as well. What we will do is finish ahead of one of them to hurt the draft position but not the other so no play-offs either.

So sad that if you are not a 100% pathetic, happy clapper, homer that you have to be an Oilers fan. Not surprising though

I live in Edmonton and most my friends are the typical “love the Oilers/hate the Flames” fans. Every single one of my friends have more level headed takes on our players. You also just listed the worst possible scenario for the Flames, and basically said anyone who doesn’t agree is pathetic. Casual throw in that you think it’s completely unreasonable that we catch a team 4 points ahead of us, but are hoping a team 5 points behind us catches us.

Like I have a family member who’s a Flames fan, but honestly watches more Oilers game than the Flames out of spite. His opinions on the Oilers are hilarious, like he believes there are 5 players other than McDavid he’d rather have for a playoff run, Nurse wouldn’t make most playoff teams lineups, a year ago it was he’d rather have Caufield than Draisaitl. The similarities are definitely there.

I never said anyone who disagrees is pathetic I said calling people Oiler fans if they aren't Rose colored glasses wearing homers pathetic. Yes I am hoping the team below us catches us, don't think it will happen but can still hope.

My takes on the Flames are level headed and based on reality. They are accurate and rational. Sorry that truth bothers you so much.
