*If Corrado plays 25 games for the Coyotes this year, the Leafs get a 2018 5th round pick.

Leafs need some defensive help, and while I'm not an expert on the Coyotes, I'm sure they can use Greening more than Michalek right now. Greening had 15 points in 30 games and was one of our best forwards last year with us after we got him in the Phaneuf deal. Both are buried, so it's a pretty low risk swap either way. Conditional pick only happens if the Coyotes get use out of Corrado, who would be pushed out here as soon as we'd acquire Michalek.

Cap hits are also about equal; Leafs get 50k in cap relief from this deal. Michalek also comes to the same organization as his brother, if that makes a difference. Milan will probably be shipped with retention to a team needing top 9 scoring sooner rather than later anyways, because it seems like the Leafs aren't going to use him.

Ehhhh, the last thing we need are marginal wingers. Corrado prob gets immediately put on waivers and might get claimed. I don't really see a point of this for the Coyotes, would rather just have Z in the AHL in case of injury.

I'd do this even without the conditional pick.

Michalek was good at one point. Our D is meh. Rotate him through with Hunwick, Marincin and Polak and see who grabs a spot.

Greening played well for us last year. Lost his spot to the youth movement.
