They had 115 points last year, I'd say it worked out in most games, despite their trash goaltending.

Hockey is not a sport where the team playing better wins every game. I love hockey because anyone can win any night, but it is definitely frustrating sometimes.

… but they don’t play until Thursday, so unless we play back to back Thursday and Friday and they intended to play him both of those games, 3 in 5 would have never happened anyway…

And actually if we play Thursday and Friday that’d be an even stronger argument for why Samsonov should have played tonight

Yeah I am, because we haven’t seen any change in the way they play. Until that happens I’m not giving this team an inch of grace. They are sloppy and are still scared shitless to drive the net. They need to start getting those habits down. If you’re unwilling to play hard at the start of the season it’s probably not going to change at the end. That’s why I think ultimately regardless changes are coming this season. Whether it’s the coach so we get another system or someone from the core is moved.

I mentioned this earlier and maybe no one agreed, but I think Bunting needs to be reminded what his role is on the top line. I feel like he’s trying to be the gunner on the line. He’s taking every shot, he’s not really digging for any pucks, he’s not agitating like he did last year. I don’t want to harp on it too heavily, because I think he’s playing well enough, but not in a way that’s actually going to help his linemates much
