No question Leaf’s dominated that period but the fact they had so few shots indicates a disturbing trend…trying to be too cute. How did they score the winning goal against the Sens? Drive to the net. They’re too methodical with their play. They shoot when a player is directly in front and don’t shoot fast enough.

So many times we have heard the same tired narrative about how the Leafs have dominated but just couldn’t finish…….don’t you think that’s a big problem. This is not just this year, it’s been for a number of years now. Isn’t finishing part of dominating?

They had 115 points last year, I'd say it worked out in most games, despite their trash goaltending.

Hockey is not a sport where the team playing better wins every game. I love hockey because anyone can win any night, but it is definitely frustrating sometimes.

That period stinks of arrogance. A team that know they are better than their opponent but did nothing to make them feel it.

Bad finishing? They had 5 shots lol. This isn't like they peppered Arizona's net and are just unlucky. They have done nothing offensively and deserve criticism

Problem is though is that poster thinks he's the only person who knows it, and figures a blanket insult proves his superior position. I mean no one wants or likes the teams sluggish starts or misplays or carelessness. I can also guarantee that no one likes that kind of immature ranting either.

I mentioned this earlier and maybe no one agreed, but I think Bunting needs to be reminded what his role is on the top line. I feel like he’s trying to be the gunner on the line. He’s taking every shot, he’s not really digging for any pucks, he’s not agitating like he did last year. I don’t want to harp on it too heavily, because I think he’s playing well enough, but not in a way that’s actually going to help his linemates much

The team is basically the same. Keefe's system is just not working at all so far.

I don't think it has to do with the system, there just extremely sloppy, mishandling pucks, shots missing the net, not making crisp plays.

It's early October, games are normally like this till November.
