The next time Reilly gets a point shot on net I'm opening a nice bottle of red wine
Maybe if we lose this game Keefe will actually do the right thing and put Robertson in and bench someone like Engvall
Engvall has been noticable in a good way tonight, has Malgin even played a shift yet?

Matthews, Marner look lost out there, not generating any scoring chances. The entire team has looked off this entire season so far, barely squeaking out wins against subpar teams. I don’t get putting in Kallgren, he’s terrible.

It is actually. You’re acting like every shot should just be counted like a should be goal. Hockey doesn’t work that way. Marner is playing well, but almost every one of those chances still required a very high quality shot to have a chance.
You said he was struggling, I responded. Which is it playing well or struggling I can’t keep up? He was good that period.

They said in the opening that the Leafs haven't beat Arizona in regulation at home in 20 years! These embarrassing records just never seem to end.

We have some jump and we're controlling the play. Should be an easy W tonight but I wish they'd stop looking for the perfect play EVERY time and just drive the net or get the puck on net for a greasy goal. Simple plays. Fundamental. Part of the reason this core doesn't score when the game tightens up in the spring time.

I never said he was struggling. I actually had never commented on Marner at all in this thread until your “should have 4 assists” comment I responded to.

I’ve been saying keefe is the problem. Look at the rosters Dubas has gifted him. He hasn’t gotten shit out of them. They need to change the way they play. And I’m not talking about the bottom six. The top line guys don’t make simple plays. You watch teams like Montreal, Phoenix, Ottawa they don’t try and be fancy. They make simple passes, get to the net and just throw everything on net. For Toronto everything has to be a highlight reel type play for these guys.

And their combined record of 1-6-0 with a -15 goal differential?

On the whole I’ve felt like he’s been slow and behind the play so far this season. Malgin I’m willing to continue the top 6 test with.

Either way Robertson deserves to be on the ice. What more could you ask for a guy to make the team?

Men lie, women lie, numbers don't ... His numbers absolutely stink

Because Samsonov can't play every single game, if you aren't going to play him here when are you going to?

I get they don’t win, but they generate chances and high quality chances. Ottawa deserves a better fate. I think their first game of the season they hit 3 or 4 posts.

Okay we’ll use New York Rangers, Tampa, Calgary as better examples. They play north south hockey and shoot from everywhere. New York Rangers are a fancy team as well but they shoot a lot and from every where
