I would like to ask Finns, Swedes, Russians and Czechs on this board how much attention do you pay to the EHT-tournaments held in each country over the season?
I must admit that I really don't care about them at all and they make an annoying break to the domestic season.
I am old enough to remember when in addition to the IIHF worlds there was also the Izvestiya-tournament in Russia, I mean the Soviet Union, and that used to be a big thing. Nowadays I just think these EHT-tournaments only mean there is too much hockey. Perhaps it has something to do with getting older as well.
My interest in hockey is limited to: The domestic league (Finnish), the IIHF worlds, the NHL and whenever there is a proper best on best tournament. No room for the EHT.
