Are They Still Doing Handshakes at the End of Games

not sure if i missed them but never noticed a handshake line at the end of the games

are they doing it or is it only for the final?

I think they will do it for the final. Honestly, it would be pretty cool to see some type of intertwined show of respect at the end between the two teams given the vitriol outside of the sport. Win or lose, competition can be such a great outlet for people whose nations may be at odds. I'm not expecting it and don't think it's necessary, but it would be cool to see some type of gesture in that vein.

It's one of those traditions that makes hockey at the international and Playoffs great.

Other sports risk the chance of people running onto the playing surface (especially NBA). College football fans storm the field, plus with dozens upon dozens of other people on the field hard to setup a lineup of the 53 man roster. Baseball, not as bad as they don't have many other people on the field with them. They could do it, but don't.

Hockey is nicely enclosed from the fans. Just the players, camera people, NHL staff, and media on the ice at the of the game.
