Arber Xhekaj as A Winger

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

He's nowhere near being a finished product, but we have to ask is it worth keeping him in one of the precious six D spots to develop him, when Hutson, Guhle, and Struble are there, and then there's other prospects in the pipeline,. We also have our lack of RD.

I understand what a rare type of prospect he is, but to that point, I think he has the flexibility to pivot his career and focus on a new position that might play better to his strengths, and help alleviate the logjam at D while adding toughness to the bottom six.

I think it would have a few benefits:
  1. He can afford to be way more physical and we aren't as impacted when he is going to the box.
  2. He can screen the net and be a menace, especially on PP2.
  3. His motivation to make it in the NHL makes me think he'd be fine with this role switch.
  4. He can fill in at D mid-game if needed in a pinch.
  5. Might help save Hughes assets if moving Arber to wing helps improve our soft forward group problem
