Everyone else on the Leafs (other than Knies and O'Reilly) are jumping away from contact or pressure like there's Tampa snipers in the seats. If Tampa is pressing that means someone is free, but they fumble the passes by being scared.

Matthews lack of engagement in all this is so disappointing. To think. Other 6'3" guys competing hard and making life hard. Snap out of it.

Don't get me wrong, it's on the coaching for systematic changes to the PP and such, but this putrid effort can never be put on coach. These guys have to want to care about winning. They're getting outworked in all three zones.

Yeah I think it's Keefe's fault that he kept the lines the same even though he acknowledged that 3 of them were really bad last game. It's also on him for having them play so passively in the neutral zone. But he's not telling them to lose puck battles or for Nylander to take a dumb penalty
