On my way to Japan for 10 days. Hoping to put a dent in their sake inventory while there......

We have wanted to go for a while too. And to be honest, we used miles for the flight and hotels. The hotels were outrageously expensive. We are visiting a friend who expat there and we are supporting her as she is a bit lonely. But this is a dream trip from childhood too. Hoping it is a good time!

I decided I’m keeping the Bowman avatar beyond today. I’ll pitch it eventually but not now. Kindly place me on ignore if it is an issue.

There's one image, did you see more than one? The only one I've seen is the picture that BWC posted above. I believe anything else you find on the web is simply a rendering of what they think they look like. And to me... it looks like someone took a blurry picture of a campfire. Or it looks like The Eye of Sauron in Lord of the Rings.

Cool, sure. I wouldn't call it some amazing image, though(amazing that they got it, but not like it's some crazy beautiful picture). Now if they had a focused, detailed image... that's a different story.

I'm a science guy through and through, and I just felt like it was underwhelming. Very cool accomplishment, though. Not trying to take anything away from them in that regard.

Go into the settings on the TV and the tablet and completely "Forget" the network(s)/network info. Then input everything back in and see what happens.

You have your home network setup with static IPs? Any particular reason? Make sure the devices that aren't working have the correct default gateway and DNS addresses if you have them setup static. Anything change on your router recently?

For those with kids, at what age do/did you give them a tablet?
My older daughter got her first tablet around 6th grade, I believe. My younger daughter is 11, and doesn't have one yet, but has a phone, so she hasn't really asked for a tablet. She's content with the phone.

My daughter discovered our iPad on a flight when she was 2 and now she is addicted to it. Figured out the password and everything. We try to limit how much she can use though.

I swear if I have to watch Blipi one more time I am going to throw it out of the window though.

I was just checking around to see if anything was changing IN THERE- nothing weird on static IP, but some of the help stuff mentioned looking into the device and static IP address.

I just did a factory reset on it, totally new now and the same shit is happening, won't connect - signal strength is good, it says - wi-fi connection failure - security wpa2 psk and underneath that says disabled...shit keeps disabling on me..I have never seen this before ever..same router/modem nothing changed. att u-verse..
