I'm not really a chirper, but I'm not a fan of using those two numbers.
Well to give an example I have been chirped on another hockey board before for having 68 in my username. It somehow meant I loved Jagr when in truth it was the year I was born.
Obviously 99 would not be a year someone was born but 66 very well could be.
It isn't all that big of deal, I have seen it all over the years and know what you mean but it is fun that someone would have their idol on a jersey.
It doesn't mean necessarily that they think they themselves are God's gift to hockey.
I loved Cam Neely and would wear number 8 for that reason, it would mean I was bragging and claiming to be as good as him. That would be silly since .... I am in a beer league.
