This is interesting because many players have the right to decide where they want to play. 2 players that come to mind are Domi and Henry Brzustewicz.
I am unsure if this is a push against the CHL or an attempt to get the payments for the USHL teams. Although most of the players drafted out of USHL are playing NCAA.
Great idea, though. Let's do away with drafts. Let players go where they want and watch the fan bases dissolve. I am sure that Conor Bedard's parents would have loved to move to Halifax to watch him play.
Personally, I wonder if an organization that is HQ in Zurich has any power or ability to represent Canadian or American hockey players.
