Who do you think is a better fit for THIS Ranger team? Who do you think will have a better career going forward?

I think Anisimov is clearly the better 2 way player, but he was impotent on the power play. Brassard fits our team because he has clicked on the PP with Zuccarello. We have a 2 way center in Stepan, and Richards only has half a season to go with us.

Long term, I still take Anisimov.

Anisimov is the better player. He doesn't get the offensive opportunities Brassard gets, but his production is similar despite it. At the same time, he's a staple on the PK.

It's a close call. Brassard is a better player on the PP and sees the ice better. Anisimov is better in his own zone and on the PK as well as having a deceptively good shot, which he sadly doesn't use enough. Both have consistency issues. Seeing the role hes played in turning around our PP and chemistry with Zucc, while us still having a very good PK I like Brass. He's got more talent than Artie, and that seems to be very important for this system.

AA is a better two way guy. Brass is much better offensively though when he hits a hot streak. When brass gets hot he is probably the best player on this team other than Nash or Hank. He's so damn inconsistent though.

Brass is a BEAST in the playoffs tho

I don't know, Brassard and Zucc do Pejorative Slured things with the puck together, in a good way. I loved Arty though for his 2-way.

Arty is the top c in clb no? Both are good players
. I'm fine w brass and do the Nash trade every time

Both Brassard and Anisimov are pretty damn streaky offensively. However, Anisimov is the better 2-way player, so he can contribute with solid defensive play even if he isn't showing up on the scoresheet. I would probably lean towards Arty since he's the more versatile player.

Both are streaky. On the one hand, Brassard can carry a top-six line when he's hot. On the other hand, Anisimov is still useful when he's not hot.

Anisimov > Brassard.........i'd ship brass back for AA in a heart beat. I'd even drive Brass to Columbus to save the team some $$.

If Brassard has another awesome playoffs, I would keep him. We don't have anyone who steps up in the postseason. If brass can be that guy, I would keep him just for the playoffs.

I think Ryan Johansen is the moving forward #1C in Columbus.

Anisimov was at his best with physical wingers Dubinsky and Callahan, he wouldn't fit on a soft skill line like Zuccarello-Brassard-Pouliot. I don't think it would have worked out as well.

I guess it depends on what contract Brassard gets. Anisimov is cheap now but not might be come next contract.

For what this team needs it's Brass, but I think Artie is the better overall player. It'd be great if Lindberg can be a similar player to Anisimov, minus the wicked shot I think he can.

AA was the better two way player and better at protecting the puck with his body. He had a more complete game.

I still miss him.

That being said, Brassard has more skill and the kind of guy who if he is on (like Pouliot) can single-handedly win a playoff round.

I miss the Hell out of Arty. Very solid two way player.

But I gotta say that Brassard has been a pleasant surprise. Tons of talent with this guy. Great passer. Maybe he never had the system or coach that suited him. He's meshed very well with Poo and Zucc. They are a solid troika right now.
