This is the same player who had a hot start last year as well and then cooled down to nothing ending up with like 40 points or something. just another one of those players that is the beneficiary of playing with good players. Stick him on a team wher he doesn't have the luxury and he probably gets yelled by the fans to get sent to the minors

Anisimov has been playing amazing hockey this year, that product argument would have made more sense last year but this year he is carrying his own, he is solid defensively and great offensively. It's funny how people that don't watch a certain player actually play throw their judgments in like they know what they are talking about.

I have a very hard time figuring out your ??? Anisimov may not be the 'most' anything player, but he is an excellent 2C - most teams would love to have him. His game isn't about points. He's a guy who does all the dirty work so Mr. Panarin and Mr. Kane can do the fabulous things they do. His game ain't pretty, but it is effective. He's a good player, and having the luxury of playing with AP/PK have afforded him a chance to get better as well.

Bear12Good - I have a question. Do you start threads just so the player in questions gets ripped to shreds in them? The way this one is worded can only end in belittling and making fun of a good, hard working player.

I really liked him in Columbus. Definitely underrated. To think we can him, Dubinsky and a 1st for Nash is crazy looking back at it. Not upset he turned into Brandon Saad though.

His only flaw was a tendency to take incredibly hard hits that often led to him missing extended stretches. If he's been able to avoid that, it's not surprising he's blossomed a little.

Anisimov's always been a solid player, he's just had a horrible tendency to skate with his head down and end up getting torn to shreds by the other team.

Glad he's working out with Panarin and Kane, but let's be honest here. He's not in the driver's seat on that line. He's not even in the passenger seat.

Actually he scored the same without them, and they had huge jumps in scoring when Arty joined them. Just a funny relationship, really, I don't think he drives the bus.

He's underrated if people think like the above poster. I think most people would understand that he plays a valuable role.

A good player who is a great compliment to Kane and Panarin. He's having a career year, hope it continues.

With those guys, Anisimov isn't carrying the puck up the ice thus less prone to big hits.

Draisaitl I vote for most underrated. For the amount of top 30 centers I see from people posting on here and Draisaitl isn't even considered boggles my mind.

no he is overperforming like crazy and is ideally a 3rd line centre

on the Hawks alone both Toews and Kruger are better hockey players than Anisimov

Loved Artem when he was with the Rangers. Saw him as a reliable middle-six guy who can play well at both ends of the ice. He's 28 now. Ripe for a career year with the right linemates. And here we are.

No. For all the jokes about Panarin being a product of Kane, Ansimov is truly the product of Kane & Panarin. His performance will never be replicated with lesser wingers.

It was still really good earlier this year without Kane... when he had Hossa on his RW

For a long time now he's seemed like he's "almost ready" to be a big deal. Now he's in a pretty ideal set of circumstances and the numbers are inflated, so the pendulum swings the other way. Kind of a hard guy to put your finger on... not sure I'd call him underrated.
