Remember this name in September when camp rolls around... Andy Andreoff.

Okay, this guy is hinting obviously that Andreoff will make camp.

What do you guys know of this guy? Is he NHL ready? His stats would indicate he is not, that he needs at least one more season in Manchester. But there is at least 99% posters here who know the prospects more than I do.

What are your guys' feelings?

This is one of my favorite prospects. He reminds me of a poor mans Rick Tocchet. Can hit, skate, score and fight....and fight well. He fought some of the toughest in the AHL last year and though he lost, he did not go down. This kid could be a real gem.

Took huge steps last season. Went from a rookie fighting for playing time to an everyday all-situations forward for Manchester. Morris put a ton of trust in him towards the end of the year. He's come a long way very quickly. Great work ethic, aggressive, and he has some skill to boot. He is essentially Kyle Clifford with a little better hands, smarts, but a little less size and body.

This isn't a hint. This is just the Mayor's opinion. And while I agree that Andy will be a very good bottom 6 player for us, I just can't see it being this year. Dean preaches keeping the roster together. We lose Bernier, bring in Regehr, Scrivens, Frattin, and Carcillo all within the past 6ish months or whatever. Plus Toffoli got called up. If Andy makes the team, it means we need to move THREE roster players. That's a lot of turnover for a team that's been preaching keeping the team together. I know it's not a good reason and if he earns the team, we'll do so to make room for him but I just don't know if I see him making the opening day roster just yet.

Since the time he was drafted and was in his first rookie camp I was hoping that a Clifford-Andreoff-Simmonds line would one day be put together.

He's been on the horn with his sources all day and he had the Carcillo stuff and no one else did (which I made fun of and got burned, so I won't make that mistake again). I am willing to think this is sourced info and not just an opinion.

It's just an opinion. Sources LIKE Andreoff, for sure, and if there was an injury to a bottom 3 guy, he'd be a reasonable, and potentially adequate replacement, but we haven't even seen training camp yet. The kid has a ways to go...

I beg to differ. He's said stuff like this about prospects before and it's just opinionated. Of course he could be in the know and I wouldn't doubt him because of all the Kings bloggers, he's the only one I like. But I can't see how the Kings are penciling Andy in right now.

Andreoff could be the key to this whole thing! He's kind of been the sleeper of the Kings that no one talks about, and he's a LW! He's not really giving *that* much size up to Clifford...and he definitely has a scoring touch. I think there's at least a decent shot you see him on the Kings roster this year.

I think it's safe to think this is educated speculation. He has his sources.

He got that info from KingsCast, they had it first and he gave them full credit.

Stick tap to @kingscast - had the Carcillo news first.

From what I've read, Andy should bring a lot of energy to camp and one day will be a good fit on the Kings. DL doesn't rush his players and there isn't any reason to do so now.

And the Mayor does have his sources and does a good blog, but he also puts his opinions out there as well. He said on a ALL The Kings Men podcast in March that the Kings were high on Linden Vey and would (by the end of this year) buy out Richards contract and have Vey take his place. At the point, I started to read what he writes/says a little differently.

Only after it all came down, and various twitter accounts were blowing up trying to take full credit.

But earlier in the day, he made it clear to me directly on Twitter that it was sources telling him this.
