Andrei Svechnikov vs Jesperi Kotkaniemi

Based on potential not sure yet but Kotkaniemi have been better by good margin in NHL this year and i have watched over 5 games of both. Svechnikov have been solid for rookie not bad at all he plays safe and simple but is too cautious, shy and you barely notice him. Kotkaniemi have been active, confident and involved. Kotkaniemi is unlucky not to have more points right now.

Future will tell who is going to be better but one thing is certain. Svechnikov is not different level of talent like everyone was thinking at the draft.

Cute all the Habs fans voting for Kotka or else this would rightfully be a blowout. Different tier of player entirely IMO.
 
Yeah i'm maybe Habs fan and people gonna say i'm biased, but i wanted so badly Svechnikov at draft for Habs and i say who is going to be the best player in NHL draft 2018. But damm, Kotkaniemi got amazing hockey IQ for his young age, good at defense zone, great shot, great hands, he got all tools to be a dominant center. He can be close to Barkov one day, no doubt about that in my mind. Maybe i overrated Kotkaniemi, but the potential of him, is very temendous. That's why i pick him. But both are going amazing player for their teams.

Ridiculus statement. Kotkaniemi is younger ... playing a harder position ... Putting up more points on a , in my opinion, shittier team and this without seeing first PP time...

Svechnikov could end up beeing The better player ? Yes

Kotk. Points are not coming but they will. He's pretty tall, needs to get a bit bigger. But he has insane skill, skates well been very impressed swith his passing and iq too.

If scoring keeps up he could be a 100 point player. Signed a leafs fan.

I must be getting soft in my old age as I can't believe I'm voting for a Hab.

But I've been on the Koko train since before he was drafted. Loved the pick. Think it looks even better now.

But Svech is gonna be a helluva player too.
 
Very interesting poll result. I'd think only OHL homers come to vote, based in the games so far.
 
I'm happy with our guy. Who will be better? Don't know and don't care because the Habs couldn't have drafted Svech anyway. The better question would be Tkachuk vs Kotkaniemi because it reportedly came down to the wire between those two for the Habs and Tkachuk looked awesome before his injury.

Well I guess that depends on what you think Svechnikov will become...If Jesperi becomes a point per game center, then Svechnikov will have to be on another level, and there aren't very many players like that in the NHL.

Yeah and Canes fans will say Svech. Did you expect something different? I don't get this post...troll.
