Calgary got a 1st and quality prospect out of it. Not a loss for the Flames whatsoever.

Brzustewicz went from putting up 92 points in 67 games in the OHL to 15 point in 42 games in the AHL. The guy the Flames drafted with the 1st seems to be having an underwhelming D+1 year as well.

It really looks like a lose-lose to me.

Lmao I couldn't think of a lesser fit for Kuzmenko than playing for John Tortorella.

This has to be a spite move, no?

Hunter is 19, lol. The majority of his draft class is still playing junior. Gridin is having a good year on a team with no other drafted prospects. We are very happy with it.

First thought is.. just a Russian to help Michkov acclimate? Otherwise don't see the point unless they're also getting an asset back.

I think it was always a 'lower case' Panarin.

But yeah, how dare someone get excited about a player who scores 39 goals in their first year? Didn't they have hindsight bias on their side like we do now?
It’s crazy he did that after watching him play for like 40 games. Maybe he lost the motivation once he got lifetime money

Kuzmenko for Farabee?
That’d be a Flames move for sure. Farabee struggling?
