Two young, struggling players with lots of upside that could benefit from a change of scenery.

Buffalo have lots of depth down the middle where Reinhart originally we’re supposed to play.
Caps have a similar player as Burakovsky in Vrana and could (if things work out) use Reinhart as an Eller-replacement in the off season.
It would also save Caps 2M in cap space this year if they also want to bolster the D-depth for a playoff run.
Burakovsky is signed 1 more yr @ 3M before becoming a RFA again.

I think WSH has to add some mid round pick (since we are talking WSH, probably a 3rd if we can't extract their second). Then I do it.

So you hate Reinhart because he doesn't produce enough offense, but want to trade him for a forward who's even less productive and has consistently been so throughout their careers so far?

Burakovsky at least has an NHL-level shot and we can put him on Jack's wing to get some goals. Sam is a playmaker first and unless we move ROR to wing he will be stuck on wing as he is not effective on 3rd line center with mediocre wingers. So yes, I'd take it but normally would ask for WSH 2nd to balance the trade, which by all accounts would be a very late 2nd as they are going well again. We could get lucky with the pick and also have a natural winger rather than Sam, who is god knows what at this point.

Reinhart can't skate why would the caps trade bura for him he would have no fit in Washington
Don't think Bura is a better skater than Sam. He has a better shot, Sam has better playmaking ability. Whether it's a fit for Washington, we let Washington folks decide but it's not "terrible".

Burakovsky?? Is Reinhart really playing this bad?
Burak is a dime a dozen player

A less productive player, signed for more money with fewer years of team control shouldn't be the target for a Sam Reinhart hockey trade.

I'd prefer to have Burakovsky. We have already 3Cs with playmaking abilities and who are NHL superstars and established nhl players.
BTW, when Burakovsky put his *** together, he can be a very good X factor player, winning games for us. He likes to have a hot streak for 10-15 games once a year. I hope this time, it would be in april/may and not in january/february like last year

Suggesting Burakovsky is "less productive" is the height of disingenuous. Both players have 103PTs at the NHL level, Burakovsky in 217GMs Reinhardt in 211. Reinhart also plays on average ~3min. more per game than Burakovsky. Reinhart also scores nearly three times as many of his points on the PP as Burakovsky (33 : 13 for their respective careers), where Burakovsky hardly ever gets any time behind Wsh stellar 1st unit. I don't think the Caps make this trade straight up, I'm quite confident they don't add. Sabre fans have to hope for the best with SR, the rest of the league sees him as the player that has yet to distinguish himself from his brothers in the big league and times-a-wastin. Reinhart for Bennett at least has an element of intrigue.

Reinhart could play center, this is enough reason to have an add in the form of a pick. As for the rest, I present to you Sabres fans excuses regarding Sam Reinhart.

If time's awasting for Reinhart, what's it doing for Burakovsky who's a year older and gets paid more?

I just don't see the need for the caps. Reinhart goes right to the third line where Burakovsky is playing not really getting any mins
