Judging by today's news, don't think his presence helps much for 1st round picks.

So he sold 10% share for 2.5B and then bought the entire Sens for 950mil? Seems like a win.

that franchise is destined for relocation down the road , so he will flip it again at some point for a killer profit

Buy the Habs, the arena and the event booking company for 550M. (10% for 55M)

Pocket 10% of the profits for 15 years. (Basically 10% of the cap + wtv evenko made.. probably in the 5M to 10M range yearly.)

Sell the 10% for 250M, use the profits and partners money to buy the Ottawa Senators for 900M.

Exactly. They will try to get public money/land for a new arena or sell the team to Houston or Atlanta for 1.? billion in 10 years. Can't lose either way.
