Two firsts would be tough.

If you would retain 50%, we can give you a 1st and Perunavich.. Unless Krug interest you at all

The Ducks need to sign Hampus. Can you help with that?

If he makes it clear he has no desire to resign then the Ducks need to trade him, but I’m sure a lot of teams would be interested. Especially teams that are hoping to acquire him and resign him, like you want to do.

If Hampus wants to resign with the blues here is what I hope happens:

Anaheim: Chychrun
St Louis: Lindholm (extended)
Arizona: STL 1st, Neighbors, Zellweger

I like that. Except I think we can get Chychrun for that, at a lot lower per year average. What is Hampus looking for dollar wise? That fits very well into your average player age as well! Great idea

It doesn't work unless Anaheim takes back Scandella or the Blues move Scandella to a third team. A vet with term going back for a rental is not the norm. So if Scandella is in the deal it means he has value to Anaheim, which I am not assuming is true. So this is if the Blues trade Scandella to a third team:

Lindholm @ 37% retained for a 1st+

Now just what is that +?

If it's Neighbors then we need to know there's an extension attached. We can't give up two 1sts in value for a rental. We would also not pay a 1st and Neighbors and then add.

Perunovich is a player in Shattenkirk's mold.
Kostin is a big fast very physical winger with some puck skills.

Honestly I'd expect an extension if they're giving up the 1st and any of the top four prospects which also includes Bolduc.

What are your needs and how can we help.

throw me an offer and we can dwindle it down until we both agree.

No reason to trade him. Right now they are in the playoff hunt. He is a key cog in the machine. Goal is to resign him and if not. Maybe making the playoffs for a young team is more important then adding a late first that won’t be on the team for 2-3 years.

As a Blues fan, our first will not be as preferable as other teams first rounders as it will likely be late if we add him to the team.

Overpaying sure Ducks would like that, but as fans would we be happy. If we are moving Neighbors and a first for a guy who is going to be a UFA…. I would be beyond pissed.

But from the Ducks perspective, why would I agree to anything less.

You asked they answered. May not like the answer, but I find it reasonable from the fan base.

Sort of a difficult to answer your question. The Ducks biggest need is to sign Lindholm. If he refuses to sign before the deadline they will probably move him, at which point their biggest need is a minute munching top pairing shutdown D like Lindholm...

If they trade him I'm pretty sure the idea would be to get the best quality young asset possible, and then still try and sign Lindholm back in the summer. The return would likely be in line with what some of the very best of rentals go for, 1st + very good prospect.

Highly unlikely this is a situation where you get to negotiate an extension ahead of the trade. If he isn't willing to talk extension mid season with Anaheim, it means he wants to see the open market.

Pretty dead on... Majority of duck fans want Lindholm resigned.

Hes not worth Neighbors + 1st as a UFA, but hes prob worth more than Kostin/Peru + 1st, if lindholm does go on the market, id imagine every team that thinks they have a shot this year will be in on him.

Which is why if he does go on the market Anaheim would want the max which means they would let his agent discuss extensions so they could get that max. Blues would be an unlikely trade partner if they couldn't extend him.

Sure but if your getting an extended lindholm your paying a big amount, if hes not extended he is more valuable to other teams at 50%, that will likely be wililng to pay more than blues

If Armstrong is confident to his own satisfaction he will extend Lindholm then I'd be comfortable him giving up the 1st+Anaheim choice of prospect. It's possible other teams would offer a better prospect. FWIW I agree Ducks should extend Lindholm themselves if it's possible and have said so all season.

Are you implying that Zegras is better than Kyrou by a Parayko's worth? If this were Lindholm + Zegras for Parayko + Kyrou I would wonder what the point is other than take Anaheim anxiety away they might lose a top pairing defender for nothing.
I'm pretty sure the poster wasn't implying anything other than how it would be ridiculous to include Kyrou or Parayko's name in a Hampus Lindholm proposal.
