Jérémie Biakabutuka...to be fair it sounds like an Californian island. So what's the report on him now, why he hasn't played much AHL at all, is the depth in the Blues system so good? Or is he not ready and going ECHL route instead of NCAA?

We have a ton of better prospects and actual AHL level talent in the AHL.

Ducks in - Trouba + future 2nd

Ducks out - Fowler, Vaakanainen, two 4ths

Brings much more balance to the Ducks back end on paper, as Trouba/Gudas/Dumoulin as veteran D, are better fits to compliment Zellweger, Mintyukov and Lacombe.
Losing a retention slot for the next two TDL's has to be part of the trade as well. And I believe the Ducks also take on $3 million in additional cap space between the two trades.

The last time I watched an Anaheim Ducks game when the Blues weren’t involved was a decade ago. What’s the scouting report on Fowler? Sounds like he’s been overexposed on a bad Ducks roster but can he still skate?

How do you pronounce that?
bi-uh-kuh-boo-too-kuh ?
It makes sense to deal him. It doesn’t make sense that the return was that bad
I don't think he could have gotten a 1st to be honest. It's smart for Anaheim to get a 2nd, they have a lot of young guys so it makes sense to spread out their picks and who knows how St. Louis looks three years from now they're already bottom ten now could be essentially a low 1st.

he's lost a step the last couple years and isn't as great of a skater he once was

incredibly soft and probably one of the least physical dmen in the league. awful shot too
