Their feelings don't matter eitheryeah, I'm the only one with this opinion. No one else in the entire hockey universe thinks the Ducks made a stupid move!

Some folks love repeating this among themselves, but no, a guy without an NMC isn't a sure-fire negative asset before clearing waivers.
Probably is pissed, but its part of the occupation. He went to a team on his modified list at least. If he didn't want to be traded, maybe should have considered less money but insisted a full NMC?The other thread got locked, but I'll repeat what I said there....
Trouba has to be furious, right? Wife is still a Dr in NY and that was one of the key reasons for the original move to NY? And they just had a baby earlier this year?
This is always said when trades happen like this or drama goes down and yet players always want to come here. They play in the most famous city on earth, which is incredibly attractive for foreigners. They play at the most famous arena in the USA. They get first class treatment above and beyond almost any other NHL organization. Players will always want to come here.
How was he whiny? But why would you?
He doesn't deserve your empathy. He's rich, he's a whiny and he tries to injure other players.
He's one of the biggest assholes in the League.

A guy who doesn't have NMC protection can just be waived before having to be traded with an asset to negate his negative value. If that doesn't happen, that's a sure-fire sign of there being some kind of market. As was reported today prior to the trade. You misjudged the market, it happens.a terrible hockey player with a terrible contract isn't a sure-fire negative asset?
As a devils fan, I will say that I would rather have Trouba on the rangers than not. I imagine fans of teams like Carolina feel the same way.Judging by the thread, it appears the biggest losers of this deal were the New Jersey Devils.
100%Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Every player has the right to be a hard ass on their contract status, just like Trouba. Give no quarter, but don't expect any concessions back either.
Last time I can remember it happening publicly was quite a few years ago now. Toronto traded Chad Kilger to florida at the deadline and instead of reporting he promptly retired and returned to Cornwall where his daddy, the fire chief, gave him a job. He’s still working there all these years later. That's the reason he vetoed a trade to Detroit earlier this year
What're the ramifications of not reporting to your trade destination?
No contract that ends in 18 months can be seriously classified as "terrible." That should be reserved for contracts with at least 3+ years remaining if not 5.a terrible hockey player with a terrible contract isn't a sure-fire negative asset?
could have fooled me!
Trouba sucks at hockey, so no actually I wish that the Rangers kept him.
my Devils are on the upswing and the Rangers are on the downswing. Thank you for your concern, though!
Make that a Devils fan and this Habs fan if you want. Trouba is terrible at this point and any stats you want to look at will confirm itThis is gonna shock the hell out of people but no, a trade doesn't end up being bad for an NHL team because the value the team gave up wasn't in line with what a Devils fan on the internet thinks it shouldn't have been
Why ? They are a way better team than the Rangers with or without TroubaJudging by the thread, it appears the biggest losers of this deal were the New Jersey Devils.
Oh yes, he surely sucked in this clip, lmfao
Old school hockey, babayyyyy!
That's how it's done.New York giving California teams a offer they can’t refuse to take Trouba and goodrow
humorously, the only two guys I can really remember Trouba lighting up are Timo and Tomas Nosek, both pretty large guys.I bet you’re happy you don’t have to watch your little skill guys get lit up by Troubs as much any more
One thing I learned today is that being the captain of the Rangers is basically a ticket out of town. It has ended ugly for the last three players. That were named captain of this team.
Oh yes, he surely sucked in this clip, lmfao
Old school hockey, babayyyyy!

I think the losers are every team in the pacific division. Gudas/Trouba is a nasty/dirty pair of defendersJudging by the thread, it appears the biggest losers of this deal were the New Jersey Devils.
