Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have acquired forward Michael Sgarbossa from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Logan Shaw. Sgarbossa will be assigned to the Panthers American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Teased on the Florida board, and correctly predicted by our very own caley, it's official now.

If there was any doubt that that Florida poster is legit connected, it is now gone. What's that three things he's got right?

Am I the only one that thinks of Barbossa from the Pirates movies every time I see Cramarossa and Sgarbossa mentioned?

Nope, thats what made having both of them up so great. So many crazy name combinations to invent! :thumbu:

Logan Shaw was average in his time with the Panthers.
Not good at anything, but was not a liability nor was he bad at anything.

As a callup, he gained Gallants trust and was even given PP minutes.

Here's his first NHL goal.

He probably ends up as an AHL/NHL tweener/ callup guy. In the AHL he posted 11 goals in 14 games, but only 5 goals in 53 games with the Panthers(3rd/4th line) for the 15-16 season.
