see personnallh for me ive been a rangers fan my entire life but really only got old enough to seriously follow them in 2010-2011 so i missed this nylander jagr and strake magic you all talk of, but i have obviously seen highlights and become aware of jagrs incredible play...just my explanation for why you may see some bias in my lineup towards more recent players

(also going to try and make cool lines)

straka-nylander-jagr (trusting you all on this one)
gaborik-richards-nash (ffs why couldnt this have worked)
kreider-stepan-zuccarello (could switch zucc and nash)
avery-dubinsky- callahan ( )
honorable mention: st.louis bc i have some sort of sentimental attachement i cant explain

mcdonagh-stralman (what couldve been)
staal-sauer (didnt see sauer but heard great things, staal used to be oh so good and is having a better year this year at certain times)
yandle-girardi (this actually seemed to work from what i remember. HUGE girardi fan to this day, think hes the worst player theu couldve ever let go, dont hate me lol)
honorable mention: rosival

hank
talbot (him and raanta were close)

question: until the start of 2013-2014 when i remember the sharks pumped rhe rangers 9-1 with hertls between legs goal on biron...wasnt he actually a really good backup for us?

If we go with lines, I'd do this.

Straka-Nylander-Jagr. No debate
Gaborik-Anisimov-Stepan. The GAS line was lit
Pouliot-Brassard-Zuccarello. Best 3rd line we've had
Boyle-Moore-Dorsett

Straka-Nylander-Jagr
Kreider-Stepan-Nash
Zuccarello-Richards-Gaborik
Avery-Brassard-Shanahan

McDonagh-Rozsival
Yandle-Stralman
Malik-Girardi

Lundqvist
Talbot

Let the record show that I tossed Girardi a bone. Staal gets nothing. To answer OP's question, Raanta ended up being the better NHL player, but Talbot was unquestionably the better Ranger. He won the Presidents Trophy.

Yes. Biron’s legacy suffers from a recency bias in which he was pretty bad at the end.

I think we have a winner.
