There's this poll on the Polls section about Team Czech vs Team Slovakia (all-time). I attempted to make a Team Czech to compare to Team Slovakia. Anyone out there that want to correct my team :help:, or is it good :)?

Martin Straka - Patrik Elias - Jaromir Jagr
Petr Sykora - Vaclav Nedomansky - Vladimir Martinec
Vaclav Prospal - Milan Novy - Milan Hejduk
Vladimir Ruzicka - Ivan Hlinka - Bobby Holik

Petr Svoboda - Jan Suchy
Roman Hamrlik - Frantisek Pospisil
Tomas Kaberle - Pavel Kubina

Dominik Hasek
Jiri Holecek

Several times I made strong case, that Nedomansky is Slovak.

You put strong emphasiz on NHL accomplishments rather than international results, otherwise there are some guys even from recent times who should be considered (i.e. Dopita, Výborný).

No place for Jiri Holik on the LW?

That's the biggest omission I could think of. Holik and Hlinka should also have good chemistry, as they played together a lot in the 1970s.

Thanks. I took your guy's advice and fixed a few things.

Jiri Holik - Ivan Hlinka - Bobby Holik

Yes, I read that he described himself more of as a Slovak. I just went with where he was born, and that was in a city within the Czech borders. The city is very close to the Slovak border though.

He was born in a city in Czechoslovakia that is now within Czech borders. A little different than being born within Czech borders after they were split.

Frankly, I think you're better off just not giving him to either of them.

(I also think you should play Elias on LW, which lets Ruzicka and/or Bobby Holik slide back to C)

That sounds good.

And does anyone think I should put in Frantisek Tikal in replacement of anybody in defense? I switched Kubina for Jiri Bubla, so ignore Kubina. I was thinking Tikal over Kaberle or Svehla.

Frantisek Tikal - Jan Suchy
Jiri Bubla - Frantisek Pospisil
Tomas Kaberle - Roman Hamrlik
