Imagine having an original 6 franchise like the Bruins celebrating their 100th season (only the 2nd NHL BTW) and you put your all-star game in Toronto.

Huge miss on potentially having Mr. Selke in his final season in front of the home crowd. One of the most respected players, true role model and a guy that exemplifies what a hockey player is.

But no we get to go to Toronto and see Misdemeanor Matthews

Funny thing is I’d bet a straight up skills competition would get better ratings. As others have said, hockey fanatics are the only ones watching this stuff….

But I guess a silly highlight on SportsCenter is the end goal for the NHL…so like 5 people can say “hey, that NHL is nutty…you know what…I’m in.” Haha
