Osaka says she's leaning towards skipping Wimbledon since there are no points. If she does that, she's opening the door for others to follow.

Wow. Rafa pulled out of Wimbledon, Leylah has a grade 3 stress fracture and pulled out, serena and venus aren't in and Genie Bouchard is playing! Osaka is in at this point.

Apparently this was fake news. No one from his team has announced anything yet

A lot of seemingly knowledgeable people have posted this on twitter. Hope it gets confirmed. Wimbledon is going to be a shell of a tourney this year.

Marino wins her first round in Nottingham.

Inching closer to getting back into the top 100.

Kontaveit now ranked #2 in the world. Well, that exceeds my expectations.

I have always thought that winning Wimbledon is great because it's Wimbledon. Not because you used to get a lot of ranking-points for it.

Apparently not though.

Zverev had surgery and thinks he'll be back for the US Open. I also saw a video of Rafa on crutches.

Rafa sounds optimistic, though: "I trust the procedure will go well." You know he wants to play Wimbledon. Despite his stated precautions about playing, the question is will his competitve spirit eventually override his common sense. Probably there is a pretty good chance that it could.

Shapovalov's dissapointing season continues.

Another one and done.

Marino crushes Sakkari 6-1 in the first set in Nottingham. Second set just got underway.

Shapo loses 7-6, 7-6 and Felix wins 7-6, 7-6. As Dandy Don Meredith used to say on Monday Night Football "Tells you a whole little story right there itself, now doesn't it?"

Felix down a set to #205 ranked Dutch player Tim Van Rijthoven. In FAA's defense, Tim has been serving like a madman all week.
